Augusta (4-4)  vs. SPRING HILL (9-2)

Spring Hill got a rare bye week in the playoffs when the Arkansas Activities Association announced that Strong was forfeiting it season because of its use of an ineligible player. Greg Smith’s Spring Hill Bears used 269 rushing yards to beat Brinkley in the opening round. TJ Tipton accounted for 203 yards on the ground. Junior QB Jaxon Smith completed 6 passes for 80 yards and a touchdown out of the Bears option attack.

Augusta thought its season ended when it lost to Strong on the field 2 weeks ago – 50-14. Augusta had to redistribute equipment and begin practice anew Monday.
