LITTLE ROCK - West Memphis multi-position standout Eli Duncan is the First Community Bank Scholar Athlete of the Week.
Duncan (5-7, 185) power cleans 320 pounds and is the team's fastest player. He lines up at H-Back, receiver, tight end, linebacker and deep snaps for the Blue Devils.
More than 6,000 boys play high school football in the state. Duncan (4.09 GPA) is one of only 13 selected for the prestigious award presented by First Community.
Bank representative David Daniel surprised Duncan after a recent West Memphis practice with the announcement. Earlier this season, First Community presented the award to standout students at Batesville, Pocahontas, Vilonia, Rivercrest, Harding Academy (Searcy), Valley View and Cabot.
