No. 3 Watson Chapel at Pine Bluff (No. 3 in Class 6A)

These teams split the past four meetings, with Pine Bluff winning the past two, including 35-6 a year ago. Pine Bluff led Class 7A Fort Smith Northside 34-27 at halftime last week before easing to a 53-27 triumph. Senior Walter Ashley ran for two touchdowns, caught a TD pass and returned a kickoff 89 yards for a score, while senior fullback Kelvin Sergeant ran for two scores and a caught a TD pass from senior quarterback Rickey Clement, who hasn't played football in two years.

"We've played them enough over the years to know that the schemes don't change, only the personnel," Watson Chapel coach George Shelton said. "Clement is an athletic quarterback, and their linemen are huge."

Watson Chapel whipped Class 6A Siloam Springs 48-24 during Simmons First/Hootens.com Kickoff Week at Razorback Stadium. The balanced Wildcats ran for 214 yards and passed for 197 yards against Siloam Springs. Senior Devonte Battles ran 18 times for 140 yards and two scores and caught two passes for 29 yards and a TD. Junior QB Kris McCullough completed 11 of 15 passe and three TDs. Six of McCullough's completions covered at least 14 yards.

"Our execution isn't where it needs to be," Shelton said. "We've got to learn to take care of the ball and not turn it over at critical junctions."

PULASKI ACADEMY (7) at Warren: Hootens.com Class 4A Game of the Week. These teams split the four meetings in school history.
Jacksonville at BENTON (1): Class 6A Benton led Arkadelphia by a TD in the third quarter last week, but lost by 14 points. Jacksonville failed to score against Cabot in Week 1. Benton beat Jacksonville 41-14 a year ago.
WHITE HALL (21) at LR Christian: White Hall impressed as much as any team in Week 1, hammering Hamburg 35-15. Senior QB Terrance Warren, who didn't take over as the starter until late August, passed for 150 yards and two TDs and ran for 28 yards and a score, while junior running back Irving Tisdale ran for 103 yards and a score.
CAC (6) at LR McClellan: These teams tied 55-55 last year. LR McClellan former coach Anthony Chambers resigned a week before the Lions lost to Searcy 18-0 in a weather-shortened game last week.
MAUMELLE (12) at North Pulaski: Maumelle lost by four points to Class 3A power Fountain Lake in a weather-shortened game last week. The Hornets handled North Pulaski by 22 points a year ago. North Pulaski's one-point win over LR Fair last week was its first since 2010.
LR Hall at MILLS (1): LR Hall dresses 25 players. Mills led LR Parkview 7-0 last week before giving up 35 straight points.
Sylvan Hills at HS LAKESIDE (2): Improved Sylvan Hills lost to Vilonia 7-0 last week, giving up a TD after a turnover. Hot Springs Lakeside has won 18 of 24 games since Jared McBride took over as coach in 2010.
WEST HELENA (4) at Marianna: West Helena gave up 30 points against Dollarway last week. Marianna hasn't played this season. The Trojans promoted basketball coach Larry Mitchell to head coach in the summer. Mitchell also coaches track.

5A EAST
SEARCY (2) at Batesville: Batesville has beaten Searcy seven of the past eight years, and the teams tied 23-23 in 2003. Batesville failed to score at Class 7A Springdale last week and trailed 21-0 at halftime.
MARION (8) at Forrest City: Marion has beaten the Mustangs by a combined 102-38 the past two seasons. Forrest City snapped an 11-game losing streak with last week's 53-6 win over Class 4A Gosnell.
WEST MEMPHIS (12) at Blytheville: Former Blytheville coach Maurice Moody left in June to take an assistant's position at West Memphis. West Memphis beat Blytheville by a combined 81-20 the past two years. The Blue Devils scored three unanswered TDs in the second half of last week's 41-17 win over Ashdown.
WYNNE (10) at Vilonia: These teams have split the past two meetings, with Vilonia winning by eight points in 2010 and Wynne won by seven points last season. Wynne junior QB Reed Wingo threw two TD passes against Marion a week ago.
Rivercrest at GREENE CO. TECH (4): Greene County Tech surrendered 69 points against Jonesboro last week. Class 2A East Poinsett County made a pair of two-point conversions in the fourth quarter a week ago, beating Rivercrest 29-27.
LONOKE (3) at Beebe: Beebe's three-point win last season snapped Lonoke's two-game win streak in the series. Lonoke's Eric Williams ran for two TDs in last week's nine-point loss to Star City.
NETTLETON (3) at Trumann: Nettleton has won seven of the past eight in the series, but four of those games were decided by a total of nine points. Nettleton scored 32 points at Newport last week.
Paragould at POCAHONTAS (7): Pocahontas beat Paragould by a total of 24 points the past two years. Pocahontas held Bald Knob to less than 400 yards in last week's 16-point triumph.

5A SOUTH
Watson Chapel at PINE BLUFF (2): Hootens.com Class 5A Game of the Week.

Magnolia at MONTICELLO (7): Monticello hasn't scored in its preseason scrimmage at Camden Fairview or its 12-0 loss to McGehee during Simmons First/Hootens.com Kickoff Week.
ASHDOWN (7) at Hope: Ashdown led Class 7A power West Memphis in the first half and trailed only 21-17 at halftime last week. Hope performed well in a preseason scrimmage game against Texarkana, but lost to Nashville by 27 points last week.
Sylvan Hills at HS LAKESIDE (2): Improved Sylvan Hills lost to Vilonia 7-0 last week, giving up a TD after a turnover. Hot Springs Lakeside has won 18 of 24 games since Jared McBride took over as coach in 2010.
HOT SPRINGS (3) at Mena: Hot Springs' 29-point win over Pulaski Robinson last week was its first in Week 1 since 2008. Mena led De Queen 30-29 last week until De Queen's game-winning field goal with 34 seconds left.
De Queen at NASHVILLE (14): Even with a torn ACL, Nashville QB Joel Hendry passed for 295 yards and four TDs in last week's 27-point win at Hope. De Queen kicked a field goal with 34 seconds left to beat Mena 32-30 last week.


5A WEST

Alma at GREENWOOD (3): Hootens.com Class 6A Game of the Week. Greenwood has beaten its rival seven straight times.
Prairie Grove at MORRILTON (6): Morrilton regroups this week after losing by eight points to Class 6A Russellville. Prairie Grove's defense shutout Lavaca a week ago.
GREENBRIER (3) at Texarkana: Greenbrier senior QB Seth Peters, a former all-state receiver, passed for three TDs and ran for two more in last week's 35-0 triumph over Beebe. Texarkana lost to rival Texas High 13-7 a week ago.
Clarksville at OZARK (17): These former conference foes split the past four meetings, with Ozark winning by 20 points last year. Ozark senior QB Jonathon McKenzie threw two TD passes and ran for two scores in last week's 21-point win at rival Booneville.
HUNTSVILLE (7) at Berryville: Huntsville extends its streak over Berryville to five straight. The Eagle rushing attack must improve after generating just 47 yards against Farmington.
Mountain Home at HARRISON (2): Harrison has won four of the past six in the series, but Mountain Home mercy-ruled the Goblins 37-0 last season.
SHILOH CHRISTIAN (1) at Broken Bow, Okla.: Broken Bow, Okla., beat Idabel, Okla., by 30 points last week, while Shiloh Christian scored two TDs in the final four minutes and beat Class 4A Warren by one point.
WYNNE (10) at Vilonia: These teams have split the past two meetings, with Vilonia winning by eight points in 2010 and Wynne won by seven points last season. Wynne junior QB Reed Wingo threw two TD passes against Marion a week ago.
