No. 1 Fordyce at No. 6 Clarendon
Top-ranked Fordyce tries to avoid a letdown after knocking off Class 4A Monticello 23-22 in a Week 3 thriller. Senior Ross Smead caught the game-winning 30-yard touchdown pass, his first varsity TD. Fordyce senior QB Jaheim Brown completed 10 of 20 passes for 164 yards and two TDs with two interceptions. Senior Ja'Quez Cross rushed for 103 yards and caught five balls for 110 yards and a TD. Senior end Gary Lewis recorded five tackles, three TFL and a QB hurry.  Clarendon steps up in competition after outscoring McCrory 54-46 two weeks ago and whipping EPC 48-22 last week. While high-profile recruit Quincey McAdoo enjoys offers from more than 15 FBS teams nationwide, junior QB Kaleb Williams averages 7 yards per carry. Senior RB Timothy Hampton has rushed for 331 yards (7.5 YPC) and five TDs. Fordyce owns wins over Class 3A No. 3 Rison, No. 10 Camden Harmony Grove and Class 4A No. 29 Monticello.

E. POINSETT COUTY (17) at Cedar Ridge: Cedar Ridge earned its first win of 2020 last week by topping Yellville-Summit 16-14 on a Saturday afternoon. Junior QB Connor Cossey accounted for more than 200 yards, running for a TD and passing for a TD. Senior WR Kevin Crotts recorded more than 100 receiving yards. Playing without its starting QB and RB, EPC lost 48-22 to No. 6 Clarendon. Sophomore QB Carter Smith completed eight passes for 103 yards and a TD, including six balls to all-state WR Deuce Moore. Senior starting QB Preston Rains and many more Warriors return this week from covid quarantines.
CROSS COUNTY (12) at Earle: Earle gave up 287 rushing yards and trailed Des Arc 43-6 at halftime last week, while Cross County improved to 2-0 with a 19-8 win over Class 3A Barton. The Cross County defense held Barton to 205 total yards, including a goal-line stand.
Marked Tree at MCCRORY (18): McCrory was idle last week after rolling up 411 yards in a 54-46 loss Week 2 to Clarendon. Marked Tree lost a shootout last week to Class 3A Piggott, 50-30. MT sophomore RB LaRay Brown ran for 147 yards and two TDs, while sophomore QB Brylan Honeycutt passed for 238 yards and two TDs without an interception.   

4-2A
Magazine at BIGELOW (10): Smashmouth showdown in the 4-2A. Upstart Bigelow last seen Week 2 running over Class 3A neighbor rival Perryville 40-8. Junior QB Keithlen Brown and RB Hunter Alexander and senior RB Brayden Jones rushed for a combined 330 yards and six TDs. Junior LB Keenan Hobbs recorded seven tackles, two TFL and a sack. Magazine senior QB Tatum Scott returned last week from a preseason hamstring injury to run 12 times for 77 yards and a TD in a 38-23 win at Cutter Morning Star (Watch extended highlights HERE). Scott should be 100 percent healthy this week behind an improving offensive line. Senior FB/LB Kobe Faughn rushed for 192 yards and two TDs at Cutter.
J.C. Westside at MOUNTAINBURG (25): Mountainburg has played one game this season with (Class 3A) rival Hackett cancelling last week (and this week) due to covid quarantines. Westside whipped Class 3A Two Rivers 50-8, lost to Class 3A Paris 62-6 and was open last week.
HECTOR (27) at Yellville-Summit: Hector scored via all three phases last week in a 35-14 win over Class 3A Danville. Senior RB Ty Day ran for a 133 yards and a TD and kicked a 32-yard FG. Senior LB Weston Brown returned a fumble 28 yards for a TD. Senior QB Gunner Garrison completed an efficient three of five passes for 98 yards, and he rushed six times for another 78 yards. Y-S senior LB A.J. Jones leads the Patchers in tackles.
Conway Christian at QUITMAN (8): Conway Christian (0-3) won this matchup 36-30 a year ago when both teams were members of the 5-2A. Quitman junior QB Will Litton completed 15 of 28 passes last week for 178 yards and a TD in a 32-13 loss to Class 3A Mountain View. Litton, who rushed for 131 yards and a score, led Quitman with 19 tackles, while senior LB Jett Silor collected 15 stops. 

5-2A
DIERKS (6) at Magnet Cove: No. 10 Dierks has raced to a 3-0 start while rarely attempting a pass. A week ago. Dierks ran 46 times for 289 yards and five TDs in a 46-28 win over Class 3A Jessieville. Dierks led 32-6 at halftime. Dierks sophomore Eli Sharp ran for 121 yards, while junior RB Konnor Shelton rushed for 129 yards and three TDs on just eight attempts. Dierks did not commit a turnover. Magnet Cove (3-1) got past Parkers Chapel 36-30 behind senior RB Landon Stone's 280 yards and three TDs on 28 carries. Sophomore Julius McClellan accounted for 108 yards and a TD, 11 tackles and two INTs. Magnet Cove, which starts seven sophomores and a freshman, committed two turnovers in the red zone at PC.
GURDON (14) at Foreman: This game determined the 7-2A title the past two years with Foreman winning 26-14 in 2018 and 16-11 last year. No. 2 Gurdon, now in the 5-2A, has been tested once this season and fell to Class 3A No. 2 Prescott 42-36 in a Week 1 thriller. A week ago, Gurdon's starting defense held Mineral Springs to 103 yards in a 48-16 win. Foreman notched its first win of 2020 last week by holding Horatio to negative yards while forcing four turnovers. Senior DL Bubba Kegley and Chris Haywood combined for 13 tackles for loss. Senior Nathan Gwin paced Foreman with eight tackles, five TFL, three sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in the end zone for a TD. Foreman's top six linemen weigh an average of 285 pounds.
Mineral Springs at MOUNT IDA (3): Mineral Springs, which owns a win over England, lost 48-16 last week to No. 2 Gurdon. Senior QB Terrell Fricks leads MS in rushing and passing. Mount Ida stymied Bearden 17-6 with sophomore Jack Hoeksema and junior Gavin Summitt intercepting passes, and sophomore Chandler Perkins recovering two fumbles, including one for a TD with a minute left in the game to seal the victory. Mineral Springs lost Week 1 to Bearden 24-20.
MOUNTAIN VIEW (21) at Cutter M Star: Class 3A Mountain View notched  wins the past two weeks over Class 2A Hector (46-27) and Quitman (32-13). It amassed 520 yards and forced five turnovers at Quitman. Cutter Morning Star remains winless after trailing Magazine 38-7 in the third quarter last week and losing 38-23.

FORDYCE (13) at Clarendon: See Game of the Week.
Strong at CARLISLE (5): Carlisle senior RB Collin Jinks rushed for 198 yards, including an 80-yard TD, last week in a 54-18 loss to Class 3A Lamar. Lamar generated 412 balanced yards on Carlisle. Strong is 1-0 with a 16-14 win over Class 3A Lake Village.  
DES ARC is open.
HAZEN is open.
ENGLAND is open.
MARVELL is open.

PC senior Trace Shoup completed 21 of 33 passes for 293 yards and two TDs in a 36-30 loss to Magnet Cove. Junior Lancer Clark caught seven of those passes for 109 yards and two TDs. Shoup ran for another 81 yards and two TDs. Without Perrin last week at Poyen, Murfreesboro's lone TD was a 39-yard pick-6 by senior LB Jase Kuykendall. Murfreesboro's offense netted 24 yards on 41 snaps.
Lafayette County at HAMPTON (9): Hampton must recover physically from a 49-12 loss to Class 4A Star City and mentally from back-to-back losses (28-26 at Cross County two weeks ago). Memories of an eyebrow-raising 12-10 win over Class 3A Centerpoint on Aug. 31 have faded. Lafayette County led Parkers Chapel 16-0 early Week 1 but lost 28-16. Seven LC varsity players were in covid quarantine last week when it was open.

Lafayette County at HAMPTON (9): Hampton must recover physically from a 49-12 loss to Class 4A Star City and mentally from back-to-back losses (28-26 at Cross County two weeks ago). Memories of an eyebrow-raising 12-10 win over Class 3A Centerpoint on Aug. 31 have faded. Lafayette County led Parkers Chapel 16-0 early Week 1 but lost 28-16. Seven LC varsity players were in covid quarantine last week when it was open.
JUNCTION CITY (2) at Blytheville: No. 3 Junction City was scheduled to play at England but the Lions canceled with low numbers. JC will make the 632-mile round trip in 10.5 driving hours for a 7 p.m. kickoff. JC rallied past Foreman 30-12 two weeks ago by forcing four turnovers and attacking the perimeter of Foreman's defense with wide receiver screens. Senior WR Devontay Gilbert caught six passes for 105 yards and a TD. Class 4A Blytheville resembles Foreman with huge linemen, but it deploys more skill players. A week ago, Class 3A No. 6 McGehee held Blytheville to 64 yards.
