CHAMPIONSHIP GAME RECAP
Bryant won its first state championship in front of 20,631 fans, the second-most to attend an Arkansas state championship game. The Hornets jumped up 13-0 at halftime when senior Latavion Scott ran for a pair touchdowns. Scott earned title game MVP, rushing 31 times for 153 yards and three TDs. Bryant's defense was the key, not allowing a third down conversion until the fourth quarter while holding North Little Rock to its fewest points losing 34-3 in Mitchell's fourth game as Charging Wildcat coach in 2015. Senior linebacker Jakob Neel led the Hornets with 10 tackles, while senior tackle Kajuan Robinson had six tackles, including four tackles for loss and a pair of sacks.
Bryant started the season ranked No. 2, while North Little Rock was No. 1.
