HOOTENS.COM GAME OF THE WEEK
No. 11 El Dorado at No. 12 Texarkana

The winner of this rivalry game secures the No. 5 playoff seed while the loser drops to the No. 6 seed. Both teams will be on the road in the first round, the winner with likely a better draw at Marion. El Dorado won 30-13 its last trip to Texarkana in 2014. Texarkana won 38-31 last season at El Dorado.
Texarkana plays multiple sophomores but owns more team speed than El Dorado. The Hogs are athletic enough to play man coverage against El Dorado and load up to stop the run.
El Dorado's defensive line remains one of the better units in the state, but the Wildcats have decimated by injuries this season, including seven surgeries. El Dorado played its fourth quarterback (sophomore Wanya Frazier) last Friday after senior running back Anthony Thomas (leading rusher) broke his leg a week earlier at Siloam Springs. Dandy junior quarterback Darius Holly could return for the postseason.
“I've never been through a year with more injuries,” says El Dorado coaching veteran Scott Reed. “But if we can get a couple of them well, I think we can be competitive in the playoffs.”

WEEK 10 PREDICTIONS (favored team in CAPS followed by point spread)
6A EAST
Marion at JONESBORO (20) (Thurs.):
Marion covered the 35-point spread, beating Jacksonville 42-6 last Friday. Jonesboro will be league's No. 1 seed with a win.
Jacksonville at PINE BLUFF (35) (Thurs.): Jacksonville's first year known as Titans rather than Red Devils yields same results (2 wins). Pine Bluff secured homefield in the first round with a 30-29 win at West Memphis last week.
SEARCY (35) at LR Hall: Searcy ends a four-game losing skid, will play on the road in the first round of the playoffs as the No. 6 seed, likely at Lake Hamilton.
WEST MEMPHIS (14) at Mountain Home: Mountain Home, winners of three of its past four games, has already secured a playoff position. West Memphis likely finishes as a No. 3 seed, playing host to the loser of Texarkana at El Dorado this week.

6A WEST
El Dorado at TEXARKANA (7): Hootens.com Game of the Week.
BENTON (7) at Sheridan:
Sheridan had three drives of nine plays or more that didn't produce any points in last week's 52-13 loss to Greenwood. Sheridan lost three conference games this fall by a combined 11 points and the Yellowjackets are the only team in the league that can't earn a playoff spot this week. Benton secures a No. 4 seed and homefield advantage in the first round with a win.
Lake Hamilton at GREENWOOD (28): Lake Hamilton can force a three-way tie atop the West and possibly earn a No. 1 seed with an upset. The Wolves rallied by Benton 36-33 with a wild final-minute finish last week. Greenwood looks to finish 10-0 for the fifth time in six seasons.
RUSSELLVILLE (21) at Siloam Springs: Russellville scored on four of its first five possessions last week at El Dorado. The Cyclines are guaranteed a first-round playoff bye with a win this week.
