HOOTENS.COM GAME OF THE WEEK
No. 5 Mills at No. 2 Watson Chapel
The winner claims the 5A Southeast title. Watson Chapel advanced to the Class 6A semifinals the past two years but the Wildcats haven't won a league title since 2005. Mills hasn't won a conference title since capturing the AAAA-Central in 1988.

Watson Chapel has won four straight games and averages 50 points in 5A Southeast contests. Senior running back Aaron Lagrone has tallied more than 1,100 all-purpose yards this season, while senior quarterback Kyle Coleman has generated more than 900 yards. Coleman accounted for six touchdowns (four passing, two rushing) against Monticello two weeks ago, and three TDs in last week's 41-point win at West Helena. Senior receiver Mitch Lane could develop into a college prospect. He's caught five TD passes over the past two weeks. Lane plays cornerback or safety, depending on the Wildcat's scheme. The Wildcats moved Antonio Jenkins from safety to inside linebacker earlier this season and he improves weekly. Jenkins also returns punts.

Mills averages 35 points per game. Senior QB Chris Hampton has accounted for 15 TDs this fall. The Comets own a size advantage up front, and senior offensive tackle/noseguard Jalen Garmon could develop into a college prospect. "They are very diverse in everything they do," said Watson Chapel coach George Shelton. "They are very big (on defense) and our offensive line has been a concern. But we do well on combo blocks and play smart."

TV SHOW
Hooten's Arkansas Football will NOT air this week, but returns Saturday, Oct. 30 at 11 a.m. on Fox 16 and KFSM in Fort Smith/Fayetteville.

LAST WEEK
Hootens.com correctly predicted 15 of 16 games (94 percent), nailing the point spread of CAC by 2 points over Arkadelphia. For the season, Hootens.com has correctly predicted 123 of 149 games (83 percent).

WEEK 8 PREDICTIONS (favored team in ALL CAPS followed by point spread)
5A EAST
Blytheville at BATESVILLE (10): Batesville escaped Wynne last week when Matthew Showalter returned a fumble 98 yards for the winning TD in the final minute. The undefeated Pioneers play the toughest part of their schedule in the final two weeks, at Greene County Tech in Week 9 and against Beebe in Week 10. Blytheville must win its final three games to make the playoffs.
FORREST CITY (7)
at Nettleton: Forrest City goes for consecutive league victories. Mustang running back Theodis Goodwin ran for 153 yards and two TDs in last week's 16-point win over Paragould. Dayvon McKinney also returned an interception for a score against Paragould. Winless Nettleton led Greene County Tech 10-6 at halftime last week before losing by 23 points.
GREENE COUNTY TECH (3)
at Beebe: Beebe's Colby Taylor has rushed for 527 yards in the past three games. Greene County Tech can capture the conference title by winning its final three games.
WYNNE (21) at Paragould: Wynne must regroup after last week's heartbreaking four-point loss to Batesville. The Yellowjackets have won two straight over Paragould by an average of 54-28.

5A SOUTHEAST
Crossett at NORTH PULASKI (1): A battle of winless teams. North Pulaski lost at Sylvan Hills by eight points a week ago, and Sylvan Hills won at Crossett 43-13 in Week 6. North Pulaski owns Class 5A's longest losing streak (13 games).
West Helena at WHITE HALL (2): These teams play for the first time since 2007. West Helena has won five of the past six over the Bulldogs. White Hall should make the playoffs with one more victory.
Mills at WATSON CHAPEL (13): Hootens.com Game of the Week.
MONTICELLO (10) at Sylvan Hills: The winner likely makes the playoffs. Sylvan Hills rides a two-game win streak. Monticello running back Brian Handley has rushed for more than 1,000 yards this year, including a 146-yard effort in last week's 10-point win over White Hall.

5A SOUTHWEST
LR Christian at HS LAKESIDE (14) (Thurs.): HS Lakeside will make the playoffs for the first time since 2003 if it wins two of the final three games. Junior Ajalen Holley scored three TDs in last week's 17-point win at Hope. Ram kicker Bret Gaston has made five field goals this year.
Arkadelphia at MAGNOLIA (3): Arkadelphia's past three games have been decided by a total of nine points. Magnolia tallied 338 yards in the first half of last week's 24-point win over Hot Springs.
Hope at CAMDEN FAIRVIEW (25): Camden Fairview has beaten Hope six times this past decade by an average of 25 points per contest. Camden Fairview held LR Christian to 23 yards rushing a week ago.
Hot Springs at CAC (10): CAC committed four turnovers but snapped Arkadelphia's five game-win streak last week. CAC can win its final three games and finish as high as the No. 2 playoff seed.

5A WEST
Alma at GREENBRIER (1): Alma seeks to avenge last year's three-point loss at Greenbrier. Alma's Isaac McCoy has scored 22 TDs this year. Greenbrier lost to Siloam Springs 44-29 a week ago, its first setback of the season, despite out-gaining Siloam Springs by 127 yards. Greenbrier QB Neal Burcham has passed for 1,858 yards and 17 TDs this season, but he injured his hip last week and running back Hunter Winston (more than 1,000 total yards and 17 TDs) played sparingly with a knee injury.
GREENWOOD (4) at Vilonia: These teams are in a three-way tie for second-place in the league. Greenwood has outscored its three opponents 139-17 since losing at Siloam Springs in Week 4. Vilonia outscores its opponents by 20 points per game.
HARRISON (7) at Morrilton: This one is for pride. Harrison trailed Greenwood by 39 points at halftime last week. Morrilton gets outscored by 13 points weekly.
Huntsville at SILOAM SPRINGS (17): Huntsville was tied with Alma 14-14 late last week but lost by 14 points. Huntsville QB Cody Stevens passed for 137 yards and a TD against Alma. Siloam Springs forced four turnovers in a 15-point win at Greenbrier.
