LITTLE ROCK - Rivercrest three-year starter and two-way standout senior Connor Gray is the First Community Bank Scholar Athlete of the Week.
Gray starts at right tackle and nose tackle for the undefeated Colts.
More than 6,000 boys play high school football in the state. Gray (4.0 GPA) is one of only 13 selected for the prestigious award presented by First Community.
Bank representative David Daniel surprised Gray with the announcement after a Rivercrest practice. Earlier this season, First Community presented the award to standout students at Batesville, Pocahontas, Vilonia, Harding Academy (Searcy), Valley View and Cabot.
Rivercrest (5-0), currently No. 7 in the hootens.com Class 4A rankings, plays at No. 25 Westside (Jonesboro) this week. Read a preview of that matchup HERE.
