HOOTENS.COM GAME OF THE WEEK
Class 4A No. 1 Pulaski Academy at No. 9 Cabot.
Wide-open Pulaski Academy passes the ball 70 percent of its plays, while Cabot rarely attempts more than three passes a game. Cabot wants to play this game to help it prepare for 7A West passing teams in the playoffs, while Pulaski Academy wants its first varsity win over a Class 7A opponent, although the Bruins handled Fayetteville in a preseason scrimmage.
Pulaski Academy trailed Central Arkansas Christian 7-6 in the first quarter last week before rolling to a 47-14 halftime advantage. Senior quarterback Fredi Knighten completed 20 of 25 passes for 244 yards and five touchdowns and ran nine times for 67 yards. Junior receiver Hunter Henry, who has scholarship offers from Arkansas, Arkansas State, Auburn, Florida, Ole Miss and Tennessee, caught eight passes for 98 yards and a TD.
Cabot starts seven sophomores. The Panthers were tied with Jacksonville 13-13 at halftime last week before ripping off 21 unanswered points in the second half. Panther senior linebacker Chase Boyles returned an interception 65 yards for a TD in the fourth quarter.

7A/6A CENTRAL
PULASKI ACADEMY (11) at Cabot: Game of the Week.
FS SOUTHSIDE (1) vs. LR Central: Southside QB Austin Nolan passed 15 yards to Landon Lee with 32 seconds left to beat Conway 32-27 last week. Since 2008, Southside has won a dozen games with fourth-quarter rallies.

Jonesboro at CONWAY (21): Wampus Cats won by 40 last year at Jonesboro.
LR Catholic at NORTH LR (7): First of two regular-season meetings between these teams with goofy schedules. North LR won both last year by a combined 92-35, but Catholic showed out last week against Springdale while Bentonville was mercy ruling North Little Rock for the second straight season.
