The NFF Hampshire Honor Society is comprised of college football players from all divisions of play who maintained a 3.2 GPA throughout the entire course of undergraduate study and were either a starter or significant substitution on their team. A total of 671 players from 241 schools qualified for membership in the society's fifth year, showing a steady increase in membership each year since the inaugural class in 2007.

ASU has had five players named to the NFF Hampshire Honor Society all-time as Gaston and Blake join 2009 selections Alex Carrington and Taylor Clements and 2008 selection Matt Reibe.

Blake, a former walk-on, made an immediate impact at ASU, playing fullback as a true freshman, sophomore and junior before moving to tight end for his senior campaign. He started 24 career games and not only recorded five touchdowns, but also played a key role in pass protection and rush blocking for the Red Wolves' offense.

A four-year letterman who recorded every deep snap for ASU since 2008, Gaston played a key role for the Red Wolves on special teams since his arrival as a true freshman. He was a highly-touted recruit when he signed with A-State, and lived up to his accolades to help ASU rank among some of the top teams in the Sun Belt Conference in special teams over the past four seasons.
