Class 5A No. 4 Alma at No. 5 Russellville
Alma has won two of the past three meetings by a combined 12 points. Russellville beat the Airedales 37-30 in 2011.
Alma lost to Greenwood 47-7 last week after defeating Van Buren 35-27 in the opener. Junior quarterback Evan Burris has completed 25 of 43 passes for 364 yards and four touchdowns this season, including 246 yards and three TDs at Van Buren. Burris threw two interceptions against Greenwood. Junior Curtis Lloyd totaled 136 yards on 11 carries and three catches at Van Buren. Senior end Brooks Langdon and senior linebacker Alex Burris will need to make plays on defense.
Russellville looking for its first 3-0 start since 2008 when it won nine games before losing to eventual state champion Bentonville in the semifinals. The Cyclones rallied to beat Morrilton 43-28 in their opener and handled Siloam Springs 45-23 last week. Senior QB Cody Jones has completed 52 of 75 passes (69 percent) for 806 yards and 10 TDs this year. Speedy receivers Jalen Curtis (5-10, 175, SR) and Co-Chese Temple-Laws (5-9, 165, JR) combined for 389 yards and three TDs against Siloam Springs.

Shiloh Christian at GREENWOOD (17): Greenwood senior QB Jabe Burgess completed 15 of 26 passes for 173 yards and three TDs in last week's 47-7 win at Alma. The Bulldogs beat Shiloh Christian 51-21 a year ago.

Mountain Home at LR PARKVIEW (12): Mountain Home dropped its first two games to Rogers and Harrison by an average of 42 points. Parkview has lost to Mills (32-16) and Dollarway (42-3). The Patriots beat Mountain Home 34-31 in 2012.

JONESBORO (3) at Batesville: Jonesboro threw three interceptions in last week's 33-14 loss to Conway. The Hurricane beat Batesville 31-17 last fall.

Marion at LAKE HAMILTON (9): Marion gave up 14 unanswered points to Forrest City after leading 25-20 in the third quarter during last week's 34-25 loss. Lake Hamilton scored twice in the fourth quarter to beat Class 3A Earle 35-26. The Wolves beat Marion 31-16 last year.

MORRILTON (4) at Searcy: Morrilton beat Searcy 21-17 last year with a last second TD pass. The Lions struggled early Week 1 with LR McClellan and fell last week to Batesville 48-14.

7A/6A SOUTH
Benton at GREENBRIER (1): Benton senior QB Tarek Beaugard passed for 214 yards and three TDs in last week's 31-21 win at Jacksonville. Sophomore QB Cason Maertens threw an 11-yard TD pass to Beauguard. Greenbrier beat Benton 23-13 last fall.
EL DORADO (6) at LR Central: El Dorado has lost to Camden Fairview and FS Southside by a combined 21 points. The Wildcats moved the ball 61 yards on their final possession late in the fourth quarter during last week's 28-20 loss to Southside. Southside intercepted senior receiver Ty Owens' pass and ran out the clock. Senior QB Clayton Waldrum passed for 157 yards and three TDs, while senior RB Jaqualoyn Willis ran 20 times for 113 yards. Owens caught seven of Waldrum's 12 completions, including all three TD passes. The Wildcats beat Central 21-0 in 2012.

NORTH LR (21) at Pine Bluff: Pine Bluff led Watson Chapel 17-3 at halftime in last week's 24-15 victory. Sophomore QB Ladarrius Skelton threw an interception in the end zone and had a TD run called back for holding in the first half. The Zebras lost to North LR 47-10 last year.

Sheridan at WHITE HALL (8): Sheridan has allowed 96 points in its first two games. White Hall beat the Yellowjackets 22-7 last fall.

BOSSIER CITY (LA.) PARKWAY (21) at Texarkana: Parkway has won its first two games by an average of 43 points. Senior QB Brandon Harris (6-3, 190), one of the top QBs in the country, committed to LSU in July. Texarkana beat Greenbrier 44-21 last week for its third win in 13 games.

7A/6A WEST
Gravette at SILOAM SPRINGS (21): Siloam Springs lost six turnovers in last week's 45-23 loss at Russellville. The Panthers ride a 10-game winless streak, last beating Gravette 35-14 in 2012 for its only win.
