WEEK 3 PREDICTIONS
5A CENTRAL
LR Fair at CABOT (35): This is a far cry from LR Fair's 41-0 win over Cabot in the 1998 state title game. Cabot expects to compete for the 7A East title this fall. Cabot creamed LR Fair 41-0 last season, and the War Eagles have won just two games the past four seasons.
Vilonia at BEEBE (1): Beebe drops seven places in Hootens.com rankings and must regroup after last week's 17-point loss at Class 4A Lonoke. Badger senior all-state running back Jovaughn Wyrick (1,400-yard rusher in 2014; 213 yards in season opener against Greenbrier) broke his leg and likely misses the remainder of the season. Vilonia junior QB Luke Gordon passed for 301 yards and three TDs while effectively operating the Hurry-Up-No-Huddle Spread in last week's 27-point win over Class 3A Harding Academy.
