HOOTENS.COM GAME OF THE WEEK
No. 1 Bentonville at No. 3 Fayetteville.
Bentonville beat Fayetteville twice last year, in the state title game 49-28 and a 38-34 overtime thriller during the regular season. Fayetteville gave Coach Daryl Patton his 100th career win last week, but it wasn't easy. Class 6A Jonesboro failed on a two-point attempt that would've made it an eight-point game in the second half. Quarterback Austin Allen passed for 219 yards and five touchdowns last week, including 55- and 51-yard TDs to Brad Culp. Fayetteville senior receivers Nathan Varady and Casey Perry and junior cornerback Cole Harris return from injuries this week. Bentonville has outscored its first three opponents 103-26, winning each game by 30 points or more. Bentonville quarterback Dallas Hardison set the state's single-season completion record (72.1 percent) last year. He has completed 76.1 percent so far this season, including 20 of 25 passes for 241 yards and three TDs with no interceptions in last week's 36-0 win at Texarkana, Texas.

WEEK 4 PREDICTIONS (favored team in ALL CAPS followed by point spread)
7A/6A CENTRAL
CONWAY (7) at Cabot: Cabot followed its humiliating loss to Class 4A Pulaski Academy with wild pitches on option plays during last week's 49-20 loss at Springdale Har-Ber. Conway beat Cabot by 34 points last season.
Russellville at NORTH LR (10): North LR looks like the state's most talented team even without injured tailback Altee Tenpenny. The Charging Wildcats totaled 430 yards last week.
Van Buren at LR CENTRAL (14): LR Central's win at Class 6A No. 1 Pine Bluff last week was predicted here. The 16-point spread was not.
LR Catholic at BRYANT (3): Catholic totaled 675 yards offense and scored 62 points last week. Bryant won at Catholic 31-7 last year.

7A WEST
BENTONVILLE (7) at Fayetteville: See Game of the Week.
HAR-BER (21) vs. Springdale: Har-Ber looks for its fifth straight win over Springdale. A winless season for Springdale, unimaginable in years past, could happen. The Red Dogs were penalized numerous times and committed three turnovers in the first half last week. And Springdale's defense was "not hustling on every play," Coach Shane Patrick says.
FS SOUTHSIDE (14) at Rogers: Rogers has not completed a pass in two of its three games.
Rogers Heritage at FS NORTHSIDE (7): Heritage totaled fewer than 50 yards in the first half last week. Northside allows 43.6 points weekly.

7A/6A EAST
LR Hall at WEST MEMPHIS (35): Hall has a winning record, but West Memphis just won at preseason No. 1 FS Southside.
