No. 6 Van Buren at Class 7A No. 10 Bryant
Van Buren is 4-0 for the first time since 1999. Senior quarterback Tyler Spoon has completed 49 of 82 passes for 755 yards and five touchdowns and ran 31 times for 233 yards (7.5 yards per carry) and eight more scores this fall. Senior receiver Drew White paces the receiving corps with 28 catches for 504 yards and five TDs. Van Buren's first-team defense, led by junior linebacker Marshall Newby (45 tackles), has not allowed a touchdown in two weeks.

Bryant averages 33 points per game behind the solid play of senior running back Stephen Clark and sophomore quarterback Hayden Lessenberry. Clark averaged 8.3 yards per touch in last week's 31-7 win at LR Catholic, while Lessenberry completed 10 of 13 passes for 171 yards and two TDs. Senior end Josh Hampton (32 tackles) leads the Hornet defense as "one of the most dominant players I've coached," coach Paul Calley says.

TV SHOW
Hooten's Arkansas Football TV show airs 11 a.m. Saturdays on Fox 16 in Little Rock and KFSM TV 5 in Fort Smith/Fayetteville. Class 6A games scheduled to be featured this week include Van Buren at Bryant, Russellville at Little Rock Central, Jonesboro at Jacksonville, Searcy at Little Rock Parkview and Sheridan at Little Rock McClellan.

7A/6A CENTRAL
Van Buren at BRYANT (7): See Hootens.com Game of the Week.
Russellville at LR CENTRAL (3): Russellville has fumbled or been intercepted on its first two series the past two weeks. Central's school record 25-game losing streak ends, especially if the Cyclones continue committing early turnovers.

7A/6A EAST
JONESBORO (3) at Jacksonville: Jonesboro junior RB Zac Brooks ran 14 times for 126 yards and four TDs in last week's 35-7 win over LR Parkview. Jacksonville has lost two in a row to the Hurricane by an average of 16 points.
LR Hall at MOUNTAIN HOME (14): Hall committed three turnovers in the first three minutes of last week's 46-6 loss to West Memphis. Mountain Home beat Hall by 14 points a year ago.
SEARCY (1) at LR Parkview: Searcy missed a 25-yard field goal in the fourth quarter of last week's 15-12 loss to Marion. Eighty of Parkview's 170 yards came on a late TD run by senior RB Chris McClendon in a 35-7 loss at Jonesboro.
Marion at WEST MEMPHIS (17): Marion junior RB Trey Franklin ran for 114 yards and a TD in last week's 15-12 win at Searcy. West Memphis senior QB Aaron Collins completed eight of nine passes for 95 yards and two TDs in a 46-6 win at LR Hall.

7A/6A SOUTH
Benton at LAKE HAMILTON (21): Lake Hamilton won this game by 40 points last year. Lake Hamilton junior QB Levi Runyan completed 11 of 15 passes for 223 yards and three TDs in last week's 35-14 win at Sheridan.
EL DORADO (3) at Texarkana: Defending state champ El Dorado won this matchup by one point last year and two points in 2008. Wildcat senior QB Taylor Reed completed five of seven passes for 167 yards and two TDs in last week's 37-0 win at LR Fair. Texarkana senior QB Kierra Harris completed seven of nine passes for 136 yards and three TDs and also ran 16 and 39 yards for two more scores in a 42-0 win over LR McClellan.
LR Fair at PINE BLUFF (28): Fair averages just nine points per game. Pine Bluff beat Fair by 24 points last fall.
SHERIDAN (18) at LR McClellan: Sheridan's last win in the Capital City came exactly two years ago at Fair (44-14). McClellan managed just 73 yards offense in last week's 42-0 loss at Texarkana.
