CHAMPIONSHIP GAME RECAP
Pulaski Academy won its third straight state title with a mercy-rule victory over previously unbeaten Wynne. The Bruin offense never slowed in a constant rain, rolling up 692 yards. Junior quarterback Hayden Lassiter earned title game MVP honors, passing for 405 yards and a tying a state-title game record with six touchdowns. Senior Ray Jackson tied the championship game record with four TD catches. Wynne junior fullback Ta'Von Hicks ran 42 times for 228 yards and scored both Wynne TDs. Senior safety Devontai Pounds, a finalist for the Farm Bureau Awards Class 5A Defensive Player of the Year, intercepted two passes. Wynne coach Chris Hill, Pulaski Academy running back Jaren Watkins, safety Hayden Henry (14 tackles in the title game) and coach Kevin Kelley also are finalist at next week's Farm Bureau Awards.

THIS YEAR
