No. 3 Pine Bluff at No. 4 Searcy
Pine Bluff has won 14 of its past 17 road games since 2009, including five in a row this fall. "We like traveling," coach Bobby Bolding says. "Our kids love playing in front of big crowds." Senior quarterback Jordan Humphrey has accounted for more than 1,600 yards, while seniors Lemmie Daniels and Jalen Dabner and junior Walter Ashley have each rushed for more than 700 yards. "I don't think we've peaked yet, but we're getting close," Bolding says. Junior linebacker Kelvin Sergeant paces the Zebras with 98 tackles, while senior defensive tackle Bryan Terry anchors the line. "They may be the most physical team we've played this year," Searcy coach Tim Harper says. "They're going to show up and hit you."

Searcy has not advanced to the quarterfinals since 1984 when it lost to Crossett in the AAA title game. The Lions won their first playoff game since 2001 last week, beating Little Rock McClellan 41-14. Senior QB Dezmond Stegall (6-2, 208; 4.5 speed) has passed for more than 2,600 yards and 26 TDs (four interceptions) this fall. Junior running backs Antwon Arnold and Cam Woodruff have combined for more than 2,300 total yards. Senior end Johnathan Powell (six sacks), senior LB Chase Caple (more than 100 tackles) and senior defensive back Jared Eades (five interceptions) lead on defense. "They're a well-coached team," Bolding says, "and can score in a lot of different ways on offense."
