HOOTENS.COM GAME OF THE WEEK
No. 9 Morrilton at No. 12 Siloam Springs

The winner gets in the playoffs as the No. 4 seed and travels to Camden Fairview in the first round. Morrilton hasn't been to the playoffs since 2006, while Siloam Springs hasn't been since 2008.

Morrilton has won three straight league games after starting 5A-West play with three losses, including a pair of five-point setbacks at Alma and Greenbrier. Leading rusher Jamar Criswell tore his ACL against Greenbrier "but it was big that we kept on swinging," said second-year coach Cody McNabb. Senior Paris Avery shifted from the secondary to Criswell's spot, rushing 121 times for 874 yards and 11 touchdowns this fall. Steady senior quarterback Dale Ford has completed 112 of 197 passes (57 percent) for 1,940 yards and 17 TDs this year, while senior Warren Leapheart (6-4, 205) has caught 34 passes for 874 yards and 11 scores. "Warren is a match-up problem that few teams can answer," McNabb said.

Siloam Springs has won six of nine home games over the past two years. It led Alma 14-13 at halftime last week but lost 27-14 after two drives stalled inside the 10-yard line in the second half. Senior Braden Pippen effectively directs Siloam Springs' attack (29 ppg), but he's missed two games with a shoulder injury. "They don't make many mistakes or beat themselves," McNabb said.

LAST WEEK

WEEK 10 PREDICTIONS (favored team in ALL CAPS followed by point spread)
5A EAST
BATESVILLE (10) at Beebe: Unlike last season, this won't decide the league title. Batesville repeats as league champion after last week's 36-point win over Greene County Tech. Cousins Emprea and Jordan Childress combined for six TDs a week ago. Beebe finishes the No. 3 seed and travels to Watson Chapel in the first round. Beebe senior Jay Holdway ran for 100 yards in last week's 24-16 win at Nettleton. Beebe senior Tyler Love will be featured as the Arkansas Air Guard Scholar Athlete of the Week on Hooten's Arkansas Football TV Show at 7:30 p.m. Thursday on Z42.
Forrest City at BLYTHEVILLE (14): Forrest City won the league title two years ago but the Mustangs haven't won a game this fall while scoring just 10 points a week. Blytheville gets in the playoffs with a win or a Nettleton loss. Blytheville senior QB Langston Jenkins ran in four TDs and threw another in last week's 50-14 win at Paragould.
Paragould at GREENE COUNTY TECH (8): The battle of Greene County is for pride in 2011. Greene County Tech gives up 43 points a game, while Paragould yields 40.
Nettleton at WYNNE (10): After missing the playoffs the past two years and three out of the past four, Wynne has locked up the No. 2 seed and hosts Monticello in the first round. Nettleton makes the playoffs for the first time since 2007 with a victory and Blytheville loss.

5A SOUTHEAST
Crossett at WEST HELENA (4) (Thurs): West Helena advances to the playoffs with a victory. The Cougars creamed Sylvan Hills 35-0 last week, their first shutout since blasting Batesville 35-0 in Week 9, 2009. Crossett, which snapped a 16-game losing streak with a 26-20 win at Mills in Week 7, makes the playoffs with a victory and Sylvan Hills loss.
North Pulaski at MONTICELLO (21) (Thurs.): Monticello finishes third in the league for the second straight season. The Billies have never lost to North Pulaski, which likely goes 0-10 for the third time in the past seven seasons.
WATSON CHAPEL (14) at Sylvan Hills (Thurs.): Watson Chapel finishes second in the league and hosts Beebe in the first round of the playoffs. Sylvan Hills makes the playoffs for the fourth time in five years with a victory and West Helena loss.
Mills at WHITE HALL (12) (Thurs.): After an 0-3 start, White Hall wrapped up at least a share of its first conference title since 2006 and the league's top playoff seed with a 12-point win at Watson Chapel. University of Arkansas commit Jeremy Sprinkle scored TDs both times he touched the ball last week, and also recorded his 10th sack of the season. Mills won't make the playoffs after advancing to the quarterfinals a year ago. The Comet's 14-9 win over White Hall last season snapped a seven game losing streak in the series.

5A SOUTHWEST
CAMDEN FAIRVIEW (16) at Arkadelphia: Camden Fairview has locked up its fifth conference title in six years, beating league opponents by an average of 31 points a game this season. Arkadelphia advances to the playoffs for the second straight year and finishes as the No. 3 seed, regardless of the outcome. Camden Fairview senior Derek Keaton has rushed for 722 yards and 10 TDs this fall and caught 24 passes for 243 yards.
Magnolia at HOPE (3): Hope can finish tied for third in the league but likely misses the playoffs for the fourth straight season. Magnolia is out of the playoffs for the first time in eight years. Hope scored just three points and gained 157 yards in last week's 45-point loss at CAC.
HS LAKESIDE (7) at Hot Springs: HS Lakeside is in the playoffs for the second straight season. The No. 2 seed Rams have won six of the past seven meetings over Hot Springs. Hot Springs QB Ryan Morrow threw a 56-yard TD pass in the first quarter at Camden Fairview last week.
CAC (8) at LR Christian: CAC makes the playoffs for the first time since 2008 with a victory. Senior QB Benjamin Shields accounted for 232 total yards in last week's 48-3 win over Hope. Little Rock Christian's 15-point win at Magnolia last week was its first 5A-Southwest triumph since beating Hope Week 4, 2010.

5A WEST
GREENBRIER (7) at Vilonia (Thurs.): Vilonia will miss the playoffs for the first time since 2008. Greenbrier finishes as the second seed with a win or Alma loss. Greenbrier senior QB Neal Burcham has thrown for 3,212 yards and 39 TDs this year.
GREENWOOD (14) at Alma: Greenwood has beaten Alma six straight times, although four games have been decided by eight points or less. Greenwood senior QB Hayden Smith has passed for 1,866 yards, 24 TDs and just one interception this season. Greenwood gained 614 yards in last week's 25-point win at Greenbrier. Alma holds opponents to 17 points a game.
Huntsville at HARRISON (7): Neither team can go to the playoffs. Former Harrison coach Tommy Tice returns to Harrison, where he coached for almost three decades.
MORRILTON (3) at Siloam Springs: Hootens.com Class 5A Game of the Week.
