No. 1 Glen Rose at No. 3 Fountain Lake
Glen Rose has won five straight games by an average of 34 points since losing to Class 4A No. 2 Malvern 31-28 in the opener. "They're good on both sides and don't have a lot of weaknesses," Fountain Lake coach Tommy Gilleran says. "We're going to have to play perfect and hope they make mistakes." Fountain Lake has beaten Glen Rose three times by an average of 18 points over the past four years. Glen Rose is one of four Class 3A teams who have beaten the Cobras since 2008. "They're solid across the board," Glen Rose coach Mark Kehner says. "They've got quite a bit back and will pound you all night long."
Glen Rose senior quarterback Collin Hunter has completed 48 of 75 passes (64 percent) for 1,075 yards and nine touchdowns with one interception this fall. Hunter has passed for more than 4,600 yards and 44 TDs in his career. Sophomore running back Carlos Burton paces the Beavers this year with 57 carries for 787 yards (13.8 yards per carry) and 10 TDs. Junior receiver Kyle Petersen leads Glen Rose with 16 catches for 278 yards (17.4 yards per catch) and two TDs. Seniors Lane Ballard and Hunter Bredensteiner and junior Austin Kehner have combined for 773 yards receiving and 10 TDs. "We're deeper on offense this year," Mark Kehner says. "We have a strong running game and four receivers who can catch the ball." Petersen and junior linebacker Clay Holicer lead on defense. Juniors Zach Lankford (5-10, 250) and Drake Lackey (5-10, 225) anchor the front four.
Fountain Lake senior QB James Cooper has completed 24 of 43 passes (56 percent) for 603 yards and six TDs this year. Senior fullback Mackenzie Ross leads Fountain Lake with 61 carries for 480 yards (7.9 ypc) and six scores. The backfield also includes seniors Andrew Barber (354 yards, eight TDs) and Kolton Blake (245 yards, six TDs) who both average almost 9 yards per carry. Senior receiver Jordan Stone has 18 catches for 503 yards (27.9 ypc) and six TDs. Barber paces the Cobras with 49 tackles. Senior end Ronnie Waggoner (5-10, 200) has 25 tackles and a team-high three sacks. Senior free safety Dakota Weatherford has 35 tackles and two interceptions. "We're still figuring things out on both sides," Gilleran says. "Hopefully we can minimize our mistakes and penalties." Senior all-league right guard Dalton Darland (5-11, 215) returns this week after tearing his achilles in the spring.

Elkins at MELBOURNE (1): Elkins was idle last week. The Elks beat Mountain View 33-16 two weeks ago for its first win of the year. Melbourne has lost three of its past four games since back-to-back wins over Palestine-Wheatley (28-12) and Cave City (28-14). The Bearkatz gave up 432 yards rushing in last week's 42-26 loss to West Fork.
GREEN FOREST (6) at Mountain View: A battle of winless teams. Four of Green Forest's five losses have been by an average score of 18-11 (lost to Pea Ridge 37-0 in Week 2). Mountain View has scored 28 points this year.
WEST FORK (2) at Yellville-Summit: West Fork junior RB Wyatt Montgomery ran 26 times for 322 yards and two TDs in last week's 42-26 win over Melbourne. The Tigers have beaten Yellville-Summit by an average of 29 points over the past two years. The Panthers edged winless Green Forest 17-10 last week after scoring late in the fourth quarter.

Episcopal at BALD KNOB (1): Episcopal junior RB Trenten Deloach ran 24 times for 281 yards and four TDs and returned a kickoff 75 yards for a score in last week's 44-28 win over Rose Bud. Deloach is a first cousin to former NFL player and Murray State standout Reggie Swinton. Bald Knob gave up 322 yards passing in last week's 37-8 loss to Harding Academy.
BARTON (28) at Mayflower: Barton has beaten Mayflower by an average score of 45-27 over the past three years. Senior WB Kedrick Jackson ran 15 times for 135 yards and two TDs in last week's 36-0 win over Perryville. Mayflower surrendered 325 yards rushing in last week's 48-27 loss to Riverview.
HARDING ACADEMY (27) at Riverview: Harding Academy senior QB Will Francis has completed 84 of 119 passes (71 percent) for 1,283 yards and 14 TDs this year. The Wildcats have outgained their three league opponents by an average of 403-275. Riverview senior QB Cole Butler has accounted for 589 yards and 11 TDs this fall. Senior RB McKenzie Jones has 35 carries for 405 yards (11.6 ypc) and five scores.
Perryville at ROSE BUD (12): Perryville has lost to Episcopal and Barton by a combined 64-0 over the past two weeks. Rose Bud snaps its three-game losing streak.

3-3A
OSCEOLA (30) at Corning: Osceola has beaten Hoxie, Harrisburg and Piggott by a combined 94-13. Corning totaled 131 yards and lost three fumbles in last week's 56-0 loss to Rivercrest.
EARLE (7) at Harrisburg: Earle has beaten Piggott and Hoxie by a combined 72-30 over the past two weeks. Harrisburg defeated Manila 24-8 last week for its first win of the year. The Hornets have beaten Earle three of the past four years.
HOXIE (22) at Manila: Hoxie has beaten the Lions by an average of 39 points over the past four years. Improved Manila has lost to Corning (36-6) and Harrisburg (24-8) since beating Piggott 29-14 three weeks ago. The Lions lost all seven league games by an average of 34 points in 2011.
Piggott at RIVERCREST (42): Piggott lost to Osceola 44-0 last week. Rivercrest mercy-ruled Corning with 3:46 left in the second quarter. The Colts have beaten their three league opponents by an average of 36 points.

4-3A
ATKINS (7) at Mansfield: Atkins senior QB Ty Ennis completed 19 of 34 passes for 292 yards and four TDs in last week's 32-29 win over Charleston. The Red Devils led 32-7 at halftime. Mansfield has lost its three league games by an average of 17 points.
Cedarville at PARIS (7): Cedarville has lost two of its past three games. Paris junior playmaker Justin Estala ran 60 yards for a TD and caught a 70-yard TD pass in last week's 41-0 win over Lavaca.
Lamar at CHARLESTON (1): Lamar averages 328 yards (218 rushing) weekly. Senior QB Jordan Haas has generated 984 yards and 10 TDs this year. Senior RB Justice Williams (8.5 ypc) and junior RB Hunter Sanders (9.5 ypc) have combined for 478 yards and seven TDs. Junior receiver Jalen Chenault paces the Warriors with 11 catches for 267 yards (24.3 ypc) and four TDs. Senior LB Shane Shinor leads Lamar with 65 tackles and six sacks. Charleston averages 429 yards (378 passing) per Friday. Sophomore QB Ty Storey (2,229 yards passing and 25 TDs this year) accounts for 91 percent of the Tigers' offense. Four players have at least 30 catches, including senior Taylor Loveday with a team-high 37 for 554 yards and six TDs. Senior LB Josh Moore leads Charleston with 46 tackles. Junior end Dillon Walker has a team-high 3.5 sacks.
Lavaca at DANVILLE (14): Lavaca totaled 113 yards in last week's 41-0 loss to Paris. Danville senior QB Dakota Long ran 24 times for 150 yards and two TDs in a 23-13 win over Mansfield.

5-3A
HORATIO (20) at Bismarck: This series is tied at 3-3 over the past six years. Horatio has won the past two games on the field by an average of 19 points (forfeited a 43-33 victory in 2010). Horatio gave up 331 total yards in last week's 43-8 loss to Fountain Lake. Bismarck has lost nine of its past 10 games.
Centerpoint at B. HARMONY GROVE (4): Both teams looking for their second league victory and battling for playoff positioning. Centerpoint beat Two Rivers 33-25 last week. Harmony Grove defeated Bismarck 27-0 two weeks ago.

JESSIEVILLE (27) at Two Rivers: Jessieville junior FB Johnny Chambers ran 15 times for 108 yards and two TDs in last week's 32-16 win over Benton Harmony Grove. Two Rivers has lost its three league games by an average of 23 points.

6-3A
Drew Central at GENOA CENTRAL (8): Drew Central has lost 18 games in a row since defeating the Dragons 12-6 two years ago. Genoa Central beat the Pirates 39-12 last fall for its only league victory to date.
SMACKOVER (1) at Fordyce: Smackover allowed 452 total yards two weeks ago in a 45-23 loss to Prescott. Fordyce gave up 606 total yards in last week's 58-34 loss to the Curley Wolves. Smackover forced seven turnovers and dominated both lines in last year's 31-14 win over Fordyce.
Fouke at MCGEHEE (35): Fouke has lost its three league games by an average of 37 points. McGehee finishes tuning up for a brutal late-season run into the playoffs (at Prescott Week 8, home against Smackover Week 9 and at Fordyce Week 10).
PRESCOTT (13) at C. Harmony Grove: Prescott has beaten Smackover and Fordyce by an average of 23 points over the past two weeks. Senior QB Trevor Rucker has generated 1,461 yards and 19 TDs this year. Senior playmaker Brandon Marks (632 yards rushing, 11 TDs) gains 9.6 yards per play. Five of Prescott's top six tacklers are seniors, including Arkansas State commit Mark Johnson (team-high four sacks). Harmony Grove senior QB Zach Fletcher triggers an offense averaging more than 500 yards per game over the past three weeks. Senior RB Xavier Singleton (back) missed most of last week's 28-7 win over Fouke. Sophomore RB Aaron Autrey returned to practice Monday after missing the past two weeks with a sprained knee.
