HOOTENS.COM GAME OF THE WEEK
No. 1 Camden Fairview at No. 16 Magnolia
Magnolia has beaten its rival three of the past five seasons by a total of eight points. But Camden Fairview crushed the Panthers 35-0 a year ago on its way to the first state title game appearance in school history.

The top-ranked Cardinals crushed Central Arkansas Christian by 48 points a week ago, jumping to a 48-7 halftime advantage. They forced seven turnovers, including five in the first half. "It's about match-ups more than anything else," said Camden Fairview coach Buck James. "And our receivers matched up well against their secondary." Cardinal senior quarterback Brandon Keaton has passed for 1,071 yards and 11 touchdowns and ran for three scores this fall. Senior running back Fred Rose, who focused on defense a year ago, averages 8.3 yards per carry.

Magnolia snapped a three-game losing streak with a 17-point triumph at Hot Springs Lakeside last week. The Panthers returned a pair of fumbles for TDs while holding HS Lakeside to its lowest offensive production of the season. "They pose a big threat to us, because they can line up and run the ball down our throats," James said. "They have good balance with big linemen and good skill guys."

Comparing scores: Camden Fairview lost at El Dorado 43-13 in Week 1 and beat Hot Springs Lakeside 33-19 and CAC 62-14 the past two weeks. Magnolia lost to El Dorado 42-0 in Week 3 and CAC 25-15 in Week 4. The Panthers beat Hot Springs Lakeside 34-17 a week ago.

WEEK 6 PREDICTIONS (favored team in ALL CAPS followed by point spread)
5A EAST
Blytheville at GREENE CO. TECH (3): Blytheville led winless Nettleton 8-6 at halftime last week. Chickasaw running back John Daniels ran 12 times for 167 yards and two TDs as Blytheville blasted Nettleton by 29 points. Greene County Tech's solid defense limited Wynne to 19 points, but it couldn't force the Yellowjackets off the field.
Forrest City at BATESVILLE (24): Batesville has won its two conference games by a combined 113-6. The Pioneers intercepted five passes in last week's 56-6 triumph at Paragould. Forrest City receiver and University of Arkansas commit Dayvon McKinney didn't catch a pass in last week's eight-point loss to Beebe.
Nettleton at PARAGOULD (1): A battle of winless teams. Nettleton hasn't won a conference game since beating Greene County Tech in Week 7, 2008. Nettleton coach Jay Murphree took a medical leave of absence last week and probably won't return until the spring semester.
WYNNE (14) at Beebe: Wynne has won six of its past seven conference games. The Yellowjacket Diamond T controlled the clock in last week's 11-point win over Greene County Tech, holding the ball for 33 minutes.

5A SOUTHEAST
West Helena at MILLS (14): Mills' massive line wears down opponents in the second half. The Comets scored TDs following all five Sylvan Hills turnovers last week.
Monticello at WATSON CHAPEL (9): Watson Chapel has won its two league games by a combined 108-6. Wildcat running back Aaron Lagrone ran four times for 171 yards and three TDs in last week's 59-6 win at North Pulaski. GREENBRIER (21) at Morrilton: Greenbrier playmakers (QB Neal Burcham and running back Hunter Winston) are among Class 5A's best. The Panthers rolled up almost 600 yards of offense in last week's 33-point win at Huntsville. Greenbrier has beaten Morrilton two of the past three years.
Harrison at ALMA (6): Alma's Isaac McCoy has scored 15 TDs this year, including eight the past two weeks. Alma has beaten Harrison seven of the past 10 years, including a combined 77-24 over the past two seasons.
