Class 5A No. 7 Hope at No. 7 Prescott
Hope edged Ashdown 34-32 last week after losing to Nashville 53-10 in the opener. Junior Luis Arroyo kicked a 27-yard field goal as time expired against Ashdown. Hope led 31-14 at halftime. Sophomore quarterback Austin Stubber threw a 14-yard touchdown pass to junior Corey Briggs. Junior running back Corey Haynes and junior receiver Trey Lawson are playing well. Juniors McTelvin Agim (6-3, 250) and Kadarius Rowe (6-3, 325) and senior linebacker Brett Smith lead on defense. A year ago, senior receiver Jamario Love ran for a pair of TDs in a 43-14 win over Prescott.

Prescott has won five of the past seven meetings against Hope. Junior QB Trevor Pipkin ran 9 yards for a score and threw a 35-yard TD pass to senior RB Khaalid Stewart in last week's 31-6 win at Camden Harmony Grove. Stewart also rushed for three TDs, including a 58-yarder. Two weeks ago, Pipkin completed 19 of 25 passes for 204 yards and a TD and ran 15 times for 41 yards and a score in a 47-14 win at Gurdon. Stewart ran 10 times for 106 yards and a TD. Senior tackle Jaylon Christopher (6-0, 230) anchors the line.

1-3A
BERRYVILLE (1) at Green Forest: Berryville has won three of the past four Carroll County Feuds, including last year's 21-20 triumph. Berryville lost last week to 1-3A favorite West Fork 30-20. Green Forest has lost to 1-4A members Huntsville (25-15) and Pea Ridge (40-6) the past two weeks.
Greenland at GENTRY (2): Greenland gave up 312 yards rushing in last week's 41-12 loss to Mansfield. Gentry has lost to West Fork and Charleston the past two weeks by a combined 61 points.
HUNTSVILLE (6) at Elkins: Huntsville has won four of the past six meetings, including 31-18 a year ago. Huntsville beat 1-3A member Green Forest 25-15 two weeks ago. Elkins has allowed 18 points per game in losses to Pea Ridge and Lavaca.
Lincoln at CEDARVILLE (1): Lincoln has won the past two meetings (18-15 in 2011 and 28-21 in 2010). Lincoln on the road for the third straight week after allowing 76 points in losses to Hot Springs Lakeside and Keys, Okla. West Fork at PRAIRIE GROVE (7): Prairie Grove has won the past four meetings, including three in a row by an average of 33 points. West Fork rushed for 259 yards in last week's 30-20 win at Berryville. Junior TB Dalton Dickinson ran seven times for 85 yards and a TD. Junior TB/LB Brayden Burnett scored twice and recorded 16 tackles. Junior DL Anthony Greenlee racked up 14 stops, while senior CB Mason Held intercepted two passes. West Fork last started 3-0 in 2009.
MOUNTAIN VIEW (6) at Southside Batesville: Mountain View beat Southside Batesville 26-20 last year. Mountain View junior TB Josh Burns ran 23 times for 229 yards and two TDs and returned a kickoff 85 yards for a score in last week's 36-28 win over Brookland. Senior QB Dakota Davis ran 14 times for 126 yards and two TDs.
CLINTON (28) at Yellville-Summit: Clinton defeated Highland 42-27 last week. Yellville-Summit snapped its 10-game losing streak with a 26-0 win over Salem. Junior RB Cale Howk rushed for 128 yards and two TDs and caught a TD pass.

Marshall at QUITMAN (1): Both teams have lost to Rose Bud in the final minutes the past two weeks. Marshall lost last week to Rose Bud 24-20. Quitman beat Magazine 18-6 after a 30-25 loss at Rose Bud Week 1.

2-3A
Heber Springs at HARDING ACADEMY (7): Harding Academy beat Heber Springs 35-21 in 2013. Heber Springs junior QB Hunter Chandler completed 14 of 21 passes for 166 yards and two TDs and ran 10 times for 90 yards and a score in last week's 46-28 loss to Greenbrier. Harding Academy sophomore receiver/safety Ryan Turley intercepted a pass and caught a 97-yard TD pass two plays later in a 29-20 win over Vilonia. Junior QB Alex Francis completed 28 of 44 passes for 333 yards and three TDs.
BALD KNOB (6) at Riverview: These teams have split the past two meetings. Riverview beat Bald Knob 20-6 last year. Bald Knob won 21-20 two years ago. Bald Knob senior QB Grant Glaze passed for 178 yards and ran 13 times for 101 yards in last week's 52-6 win over 2-4A member Southside Batesville. Sophomore RB DeShawn Gulledge ran 11 times for 107 yards and two scores. The 2-4A coaches picked Riverview to finish last, behind Southside Batesville.
Mayflower at DOVER (7): Mayflower lost to Gravette 48-24 last week, allowing 252 yards and four TDs to a single Gravette rusher. Dover has defeated Class 3A members Atkins and Cedarville the past two weeks by an average of 33 points. Watch highlights of Mayflower's Week 1 against Dumas here.
ATKINS (6) at Two Rivers: Atkins has defeated Two Rivers the past two years by a combined 21 points. Atkins senior QB Alex Spradlin rushed for two scores and threw a 60-yard TD pass in last week's 27-13 win over Bigelow.
Marked Tree at BARTON (23): Barton has defeated Class 2A members Marvell and Midland the past two weeks by a combined 82-6. Seniors Quinton Simmons and Bryce Carter and juniors Cameron Anderson and Deterrius Swain power Barton's Double Slot attack.
Marianna at E. POINSETT COUNTY (27): Marianna lost last week to West Helena 76-6. The Trojans will have trouble this week stopping EPC senior QB Aaron Scales, who has passed for 577 yards and five TDs in wins over McCrory and Corning.
Perryville at LAMAR (36): Perryville has lost nine of its past 10 games. Lamar senior QB Braxton Sampley has completed 34 of 56 passes (61 percent) for 284 yards and seven TDs in wins over Clarksville and Subiaco Academy. Junior LB Dusty Wilkins paces Lamar this year with 20 tackles.
CONWAY CHRISTIAN (2) at Rose Bud: Rose Bud has beaten Conway Christian the past two years by an average of 14 points. Rose Bud rallied for the second straight week last Friday in a 24-20 win over Marshall. Junior QB Jake Cantey ran 35 yards for the game-winning TD with 2:30 left. Two weeks ago, Cantey threw a 14-yard TD pass with 2:00 left in a 30-25 win over Quitman.

3-3A
Manila at BROOKLAND (28): Manila has lost 18 straight games. Brookland fell last week at Mountain View 36-28.
Cave City at HOXIE (25): Hoxie hammered Cave City 35-0 last year. Hoxie has beaten Trumann and Jonesboro Westside the past two weeks by a combined 64 points. Cave City lost last week to Melbourne 34-12.
Rivercrest at GOSNELL (10): These teams have split the past four meetings. Gosnell forced four turnovers in last year's 22-7 win over Rivercrest. Senior TB Marcus Mullins ran 23 times for 133 yards and a TD. Rivercrest lost last week to Earle 18-7, while Gosnell beat Osceola 28-18.
POCAHONTAS (21)
at Corning: Pocahontas has defeated Corning the past four years by an average of 24 points.
Midland at CEDAR RIDGE (18): Cedar Ridge senior RB Chancey Stoner, sophomore RB Jordan Bumpous, senior tackles Andre Ford and Layton Lovell and junior LB Tyler Batson led the Timberwolves in last week's 36-16 win at Rector.
Salem at MELBOURNE (28): Salem has lost six of its past seven games, including last week's 26-point shutout at Yellville-Summit. Melbourne senior RB Dalton Romero has 42 carries for 358 yards (8.5 ypc) and five TDs the past two weeks in wins over Yellville-Summit and Cave City.
HAZEN (6) at Osceola: Hazen beat former 3-3A member Earle 36-16 two weeks ago. Gosnell held Osceola senior RB Tevin James to 26 yards rushing in last week's 28-18 loss. Osceola has lost four straight games. Watch highlights of Hazen's Week 1 win over Earle here.
PIGGOTT is open. Junior RB Landon Williams ran 21 times for 112 yards and three TDs in last week's 30-21 win over Portageville, Mo.

4-3A
Pea Ridge at PARIS (6): Pea Ridge has defeated Elkins (21-6) and Green Forest (40-6) the past two weeks. Paris senior TB Kaleb Owens has rushed for 280 yards and three TDs in wins over Centerpoint (57-31) and Waldron (46-0).
Arkansas Baptist at BOONEVILLE (21): 4-4A member Arkansas Baptist beat Class 2A Cross County 35-27 last week, its second win in the past nine games. Booneville lost at 4-4A favorite Dardanelle 28-0, snapping its 16-game win streak.
Ozark at CHARLESTON (20): Ozark lost to 4-3A favorite Booneville 27-3 two weeks ago. Charleston won its 17th game in a row last week, gashing Gentry 42-6. Senior QB Ty Storey has completed 35 of 50 passes (70 percent) for 401 yards and eight TDs this season. Watch highlights of Charleston's Hootens.com Kickoff game against Shiloh Christian here.
MENA (2) at Mansfield: Mena has won the past four meetings, including 21-14 a year ago. Mansfield ran 42 times for 312 yards in last week's 41-12 win at Greenland.
LAVACA (11) at Waldron: Lavaca edged Elkins 14-8 last week. Waldron has lost to 4-3A members Mansfield (34-14) and Paris (46-0) the past two weeks.
ATKINS (6) at Two Rivers: Atkins has defeated Two Rivers the past two years by a combined 21 points. Atkins senior QB Alex Spradlin rushed for two scores and threw a 60-yard TD pass in last week's 27-13 win over Bigelow.
Perryville at LAMAR (36): Perryville has lost nine of its past 10 games. Lamar senior QB Braxton Sampley has completed 34 of 56 passes (61 percent) for 284 yards and seven TDs in wins over Clarksville and Subiaco Academy. Junior LB Dusty Wilkins paces Lamar this year with 20 tackles.
DANVILLE (12) at Bigelow: These teams have split the past two meetings. Danville won 28-7 last year. The Little Johns defeated Mount Ida 28-14 last week, snapping its eight-game losing streak.

5-3A
HOPE (2) at Prescott: See Hootens.com Game of the Week.
Jessieville at BAUXITE (3): Bauxite owned this series for more than two decades before losing three in a row from 2010-2012. The Miners beat Jessieville 48-22 last year. Jessieville has lost 10 of its past 12 games with a pair of wins over Mountain Pine.

CUTTER M. STAR (8) at Bismarck: Cutter Morning Star has beaten Bismarck the past two years. Bismarck won this matchup 41-12 in 2011.
Centerpoint at MURFREESBORO (5): Centerpoint crushed Murfreesboro 48-20 a year ago. Murfreesboro won the previous three meetings by an average of  five points.
Poyen at EPISCOPAL COLLEGIATE (34): Poyen beat 5-3A member Bismarck 26-12 last week. Episcopal was idle after defeating DeWitt (34-13) and Conway Christian (41-0) in Week 1. Senior QB Douglas Munson has completed 36 of 55 passes for 503 yards and seven TDs this season. Junior receiver Allie Freeman has caught 13 passes for 298 yards (22.9 ypc) and three scores.

Glen Rose at GURDON (1): Both teams looking for their first win. Glen Rose has lost to Malvern and Bauxite the past two weeks by a combined 66-3. Gurdon's low on numbers but not talent and will compete well in the 7-2A. Five Gurdon players who did not play in last week's 41-18 loss at Smackover should return this week.
MAGNET COVE (12) at B. Harmony Grove: These teams have split the past two meetings which have been decided by an average of nine points. Harmony Grove trailed 5-2A member Conway Christian 26-20 late in the fourth quarter last week when it fumbled near the goal line. Conway Christian drove 97 yards to score and seal the victory. Juniors Jon Johnson and Brinson Cornwell each returned a kickoff for a TD. Magnet Cove is favored to win their fourth straight 5-2A title.

Horatio at FOREMAN (3): Horatio has won the past two meetings by a combined four points. The Lions lost six of their past seven games last year after a 27-26 win over Foreman.

6-3A
Crossett at MCGEHEE (6): Crossett beat Fordyce 35-8 last week, its third win in 11 games. McGehee defeated Dumas (42-21) for the fourth straight season.
Lake Village at HAMBURG (35): Hamburg beat Lake Village 61-0 last season.
MONTICELLO (8) at Fordyce: Fordyce has won the past two meetings (14-7 in 2013 and 36-0 in 2012). The Redbugs lost last week to 8-4A member Crossett 35-8. Crossett is picked by 8-4A coaches to finish last (Monticello picked fifth).
ENGLAND (37) at Drew Central: England has averaged 53 points per game the past two weeks in wins over Carlisle and Mineral Springs. Drew Central loses its 35th game in a row.

FOUKE (13)
at Dierks: Fouke has won its past six contests against 7-2A members, including last week's 30-0 win at Foreman. The Panthers held Foreman to 38 total yards, including 2 rushing. Dierks, favored to win the 7-2A for the second straight season, has defeated Hope JV (58-30) and Mountain Pine (47-14) the past two weeks.
Spring Hill at GENOA CENTRAL (1): Spring Hill has won three of four meetings, including 14-0 last year. Genoa Central has won six games since launching varsity football in 2010, including a 42-8 win over Spring Hill two years ago.
RISON (8) at C. Harmony Grove: This is the first meeting between these schools since 2011. Harmony Grove hasn't beaten Rison since 2006. Rison has won five in a row by an average of 18 points. Harmony Grove has lost to Bearden and Prescott by a combined 62-20 the past two weeks.
SMACKOVER (38) at Lafayette County: Smackover senior QB Logan Clark ran 15 yards for a TD and threw a 49-yard TD pass to junior RB Dewayne Jones in last week's 41-18 win over Gurdon. Jones also dashed 44 yards for a score. Junior standout and Hog commit Jordan Jones returned a punt 78 yards for a TD. Lafayette County has beaten Hermitage (15-12) and Genoa Central (40-6) the past two weeks.
