WEEK 5 PREDICTIONS (favored team in ALL CAPS followed by point spread)
7A/6A CENTRAL
LR CENTRAL (11) at Russellville: LR Central ended its 25-game losing streak last year and last week invoked the mercy rule on an opponent for the first time since beating LR McClellan 49-0 in October of 2007.
BRYANT (14) at Van Buren. Van Buren had five turnovers and only 155 yards offense in last week's mercy-rule loss at LR Central.
Cabot at LR CATHOLIC (3): Cabot allowed 313 yards passing at Springdale Har-Ber two weeks ago and made Conway QB Tyler Langley (266 yards passing in first half) look like Tom Brady last week. LR Catholic QB Zach Conque has helped the Rockets total 97 points the past two weeks.
North LR at CONWAY (10): Both teams lost their openers against 7A West members but have since won three straight. North LR, traveling for the first time this season, won its second nail-biter of the season last week 34-31 over Russellville. Conway has won back-to-back blowouts over Rogers Heritage and Cabot.

7A WEST
BENTONVILLE (4) at FS Southside. Game of the Week.
FS Northside at SPRINGDALE HAR-BER (7): Northside never punted in last week's 70-51 win over Rogers Heritage.
HERITAGE (7) at Rogers: Heritage breaks three-game losing streak.
Springdale at FAYETTEVILLE (18): Battle of the Bulldogs not what it used to be. Springdale, the only winless team in Class 7A, is 0-4 for the first time since 1960 after fumbling through last week's 31-7 loss to Har-Ber.

7A/6A EAST
Mountain Home at LR HALL (1): Hall won 50-35 a year ago. Hall running back Aaron Walton could have a big night against the Bombers.
WEST MEMPHIS (10) at Marion: West Memphis won its 30th consecutive conference game last week when junior Taz Watson rushed for a career high 227 yards and four TDs in a 57-19 win over LR Hall.
