JONESBORO (4/19/11) - Organized and coordinated by the Red Wolf Club, the Arkansas State Department of Athletics held its first ever "Season Ticket Call Party" Monday night under head football coach Hugh Freeze.

The football coaching staff and volunteers from the community spent four hours making hundreds of phone calls to 2010 season ticket holders who have not renewed for the 2011 season. Those who were not season ticket holders last season, but were at some point prior to the 2010 campaign, were also contacted to discuss opportunities to purchase season tickets for 2011.

Music, decoration and food donated by Fat City Grill were part of the event, which had an upbeat and exciting feel as the volunteers and coaches made calls on telephones donated by AT&T.

"Like everything else here, we had great excitement for this event," Freeze said. "We appreciate Doug Doggett and the Red Wolf Club for organizing it, and I'm glad our coaches could play a part in calling those who haven't renewed their season tickets yet. We've got a great home schedule, and we're very excited about what the season holds for us. We certainly want to give everyone an opportunity to be a part of it, so that's what we're about today and hopefully our phone calls helped with that."

"All of the coaches really bought in to this event," Red Wolf Club director Doug Doggett said. "They made it into a competition where each coach was trying to out-do the other by renewing and selling the most season tickets. There is no doubt this event had a huge impact on our program."

The renewal deadline for 2011 football season tickets is May 27. Season tickets can be purchased for as little as $75 and a family four pack is being offered for only $180. The best seats in the stadium are reserved for Red Wolf Club members. For more information call the Red Wolf Club at 870-972-2401.
