Hogs upset by La.-Monroe
34-31

Arkansas' upset loss to Louisiana-Monroe has knocked the Razorbacks out of the AP Top 25. It's the second biggest plung in the poll's history.

The Hogs were ranked No. 8 and considered by some as a national title contender before losing 34-31 in overtime to the Sun Belt Conference member Warhawks.

In 2007, No. 5 Michigan was bumped out of the AP poll after an opening weekend loss to Appalachian State.

Arkansas lost All-SEC quarterback Tyler Wilson and cornerback Tevin Mitchel to head injuries. Both spent the night in Little Rock hospitals. Mitchel continues to be monitored in the hospital while Wilson will be released and is day-to-day for Saturday's game with No. 1 Alabama.
